Making more possible for Kuwait.
This project is KPC’s largest investment and is strategically significant for Kuwait as a whole. Today Kuwait exports oil, but imports petrol. KIPIC will create a fully developed value chain that maximises the potential of Kuwait’s oil reserves and also enables downstream capabilities which will help to diversify the governments reliance on oil export revenue and help stimulate the national private sector.
Given the size and scale of the development it is expected to take up to 10 years to complete. This means that for a period of time, the brand will be the only tangible asset and tool KIPIC will have to attract the right talent, partners and investors and build a corporate culture. For that reason the brand has to do a lot of the ‘heavy lifting’. It needs to tell KIPIC’s story, provide something tangible that employees, investors, partners and Kuwait as a whole can rally behind.
Our strategy was to enable KIPIC’s brand to be a tool that could help the management drive their strategic intent. That is why we didn’t create a brand strategy, we created an organisational philosophy – to ‘make more possible’.
The KIPIC logo icon is a stylized K representing Kuwait which is central to this brand – it’s why it exists! The principle inspiration at the heart of the design is Integration and Growth. The converging lines represent the integration of the petroleum industry, the ripple effect of which will help diversify the economy, secure Kuwaiti domestic energy needs and provide growth for the private sector.
The themes of integration and growth are carried through to the visual system, graphic device and brand collateral.
